Our
prayers for you are always spilling over into thanksgivings. We can’t quit thanking God our Father and
Jesus our Messiah for you! We keep
getting reports on your steady faith in Christ, our Jesus, and the love you
continuously extend to all Christians. Colossians 1:3-4

There is a principle of love that
says: We
love what the one we love loves.
Elizabeth loves going to the
symphony. She is a "musical type". Before I wore her down and got her to marry
me, it was my considered opinion that symphony orchestras were
"instruments of torture". I'm
learning to love it...BECAUSE SHE LOVES IT.
(Learning to love shopping will take another 25 years, I'm sure!)
When you apply that principle to the
Christian life, the rational sequence is that, when you love Jesus, you begin
to love what Jesus loves. The Bible tells
us that God, in Jesus, loved the whole world – enough to die for us John 3:16. Jesus loved the church, and He still does. Do you?
Do you know people who SAY they are
in
Christ, but want nothing to do with His church? If you love Christ, and have faith in Christ,
you will love His church!
Today…for you
Hard to love some folks?...get in line – you’re not alone! Sometimes you just have to hang around until Jesus
teaches you how. How will you extend Christ’s
love today?
